Drogheda United came from 2-0 down to rescue a point at home to Galway United.

The Tribesmen, looking to cut the gap to Drogheda to three points in the play-offs, raced into a two goal lead through Eoin McCormack’s header and a Kevin Farragher own goal.

Drogehda were a different side after the break and they pulled one back through Mark Doyle. It was two gaols in three minutes as Sean Brennan added another free-kick to his collection with Galway rocked.

Both sides pushed for a winner but it wasn’t to be as the sides shared the spoils.
