Róisín Wiley has been crowned 2023 Rose of Tralee. The New York rose took the title in front of a packed Tralee crowd much to her surprise.
Speaking after her win Róisín said:
“I’m speechless, I’m just thankful and I’m just so excited for the next year”
27 year Róisín lives old lives in Manhattan and works as a VP of a consumer marketing company
Both of her parents were born and raised in Co Limerick before they moved to America in their 20’s. Róisín says her and her parents regularly come back to Ireland each year.
The Rose of Tralee competition has been running since 1959 and attracts a huge audience each year.
Last years competition was won by Westmeath Rose Rachel Duffy who urged viewers to “be kind” and reminded people that the Roses are “acting as role models, supporting charity, cultural and social organisations and are very bravely putting themselves on live television for your entertainment”.
For the first time Dáithí Ó Sé shared his presenting duties with new co-host Kathryn Thomas.
