The much awaited playground at Sean Moore Park has just been completed and unofficially opened. It has a theme of ‘Adventures on the Sea Shore’. The playground was project managed by Dublin City Council Park Services and funded via grant monies received by the Sandymount Tidy Towns Community Association from the Dublin Waste to Energy Community Gain Fund.
The playground design brief was developed through a participative consultation process run with local school children and focused on providing outdoor adventure, challenging fun and exciting play opportunities in a natural coastal environment where children can gain a sense of autonomy in creating and directing their own play.
