What are the mental health issues facing students in Higher Education in Ireland? What policies are in place on a university and national level? How do you think they could be working better?

The number of students reporting a mental health condition in 2017 increased by 46% compared to the previous academic year. The challenges associated with the college experience – financial stress, academic expectation, career uncertainty and social pressures – all contribute. There has never been a more important time to discuss mental health and well-being for students in higher education, and the policies that the government have in place around these issues.

Join us in a conversation with Minister for Mental Health Jim Daly on March 13th to discuss challenges facing students in higher education, and how students can be involved and co-create solutions.

This event is a collaboration between Women in Research and Science Gallery at Trinity College Dublin
